Posology and method of administration:
Adults and children over 10 years: 10 to 20 drops (= 5 to 10 mg) in one intake per day.
Children from 4 to 10 years: 5 to 10 drops (= 2.5 to 5 mg ) in one intake per day.
Children from 1 to 4 years: about 1 drop per 5 kg body weight (= 0.5 mg) in one intake per day.
The drops can be mixed with water, milk or juice.
For a morning impact, Laxoberon must be taken at bedtime (latency: 6 to 12 hours).
The drop shape allows to adjust the dose and gradually reduce the dose.
Before his resort to laxativa with chronic constipation should be a first solution by adapting the diet and living habits. Chronic use of laxativa is not recommended.

Special warnings and precautions for use:
As for all
laxativa, prolonged use should be advised to avoid a situation of dependency. If you need laxatives every day, we must identify the causes of constipation. Drug treatment of constipation is only one adjuvant therapy to support the current hygiene and dietary requirements (enrichment of the diet with vegetable fiber and drink, physical activity recommendation). Caution is needed in congestive heart failure, renal insufficiency, the elderly, and concomitant treatment with drugs that may give rise to 'torsades de pointe'.
Prolonged or excessive use may lead to electrolyte disturbances with hypokalemia, and cause constipation.
Laxoberon should not be given to children except on medical advice.

Pregnancy and lactation:

The effect of Laxoberon can be weakened by the simultaneous administration of broad-spectrum antibiotics.
One should take into account a potential interaction with digitalis preparations, such interaction would theoretically be possible with antiarrhythmic drugs .
Since the risk of 'torsades de pointe 'increases with hypokalemia, caution in patients taking medicines called' torsades de pointe 'may trigger.
