Description

Packs of self-adhesive gel and semi-occlusive medical silicone for the treatment of existing or new scars, hypertrophic or colloids (with fabric) or when closed to prevent scarring wound.

The self-adhesive gel pad is soft, comfortable and easy to appliquer.Elle can be durable and reusable, it can be worn day or night. Hypoallergenic, it is a safe use in children.

Cut each piece can take up to a month. The best results are obtained after 2 to 4 months of treatment. Compress the gel should be washed 2 times per day.


Use
  • Wash hands before and after use.
  • Carefully wash the scar and surrounding skin with mild soap and rinse with clean, warm water. Thoroughly dry the scar and surrounding skin.
  • Open the package and remove the compress gel.
  • Cut a piece of the gel pad to the size of the scar, by providing a slight overlap of the surrounding skin. Store the unused portion in a dry place (in the package).

  • Apply the compress gel without the adhesive side facing the scar stretching,. If necessary, keep CICA-CARE in place by a light strip, a plaster or OPSITE flexfix. Do not apply the gel compresses way too steep on the scar may irritate the scar and surrounding skin.
  • The first two days, apply CICA-CARE 4 hours per day or night. The next two days, apply CICA-CARE 8 hours a day or by night. Increase the duration of 2 hours per day to a minimum of 12 hours per day. If possible, CICA-CARE must be worn 24 hours a day.
  • Cica-Care Wash 2 times a day with a mild soap (neutral pH). Rinse thoroughly. Before using the compress gel, wash the scar and surrounding skin with a mild soap.
  • Dry with a lint-free towel. When CICA-CARE begins to show signs of wear or becomes difficult to clean, the pad must be replaced. Replacement will be made after an average of 14-28 days. Through proper use, the total treatment will cover a period of 2 to 4 months.

In some patients, skin irritation is observed. This may be due to poor hygiene or too stiff application of the compress gel. Itching and maceration of the skin may also accompany the use of silicone gel. In this case, it is recommended to be 12 hours of treatment with 12 hours of rest.

Cica-Care can only be used after the removal of sutures. Do not use on open wounds.
