Treatment of non-serious, superficial and non-extensive, primary and secondary skin infections
caused by micro-organisms sensitive to fusidic acid, in particular infections caused by
staphylococci.


The following primary skin infections may be expected to respond to topical treatment with
fusidic acid: impetigo contagiosa, superficial folliculitus, sycosis barbae, paronychia and erythrasma. Also
secondary skin infections such as infected eczema, infected contact dermatitis and infected cuts and
abrasions.


Official guidelines regarding the appropriate use of antibacterial agents should be considered
taken.
