1. How do you use this medicine?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are unsure about how to use it correctly, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

The recommended dosage is one patch per day.

Apply one patch to the painful area. Use a maximum of one patch per day, even if you want to treat more than one painful area. Treat only one painful area at a time.

Method of administration

For use on the skin (cutaneous use).

Instructions for use:

1. Cut the sachet along the dotted line and remove the plaster

Applying the plaster:

1. 
   

   Remove one of the two protective films.

   
   


2. 
   

   Stick the plaster on the area to be treated and remove the other protective film.

   
   


3. 
   

   Press the patch lightly with the palm of your hand until it adheres completely to the skin

   
   

Removing the plaster:

1. 
   

   Moisten the plaster with water, loosen one edge of the plaster and gently peel it away from the skin.

   
   


2. 
   

   To remove any product residue, wash the affected area with water while gently rubbing the area with your fingers in circular motions.

   
   

If necessary, the plaster can be kept in place with a net bandage.

Use the patch only on intact, unaffected skin.

Do not use the plaster together with an airtight (occlusive) dressing.

Do not wear the patch while bathing or showering.

Do not cut the plaster.

Usage time

Do not use Voltaren Patch Once Daily for more than 7 days.

The active substance in this medicine is diclofenac sodium. Each patch contains 140 mg diclofenac sodium. The other ingredients are:- Backing layer: Polyester non-woven fabric- Adhesive layer: Basic butylated methacrylate copolymer, Copolymer acrylate vinyl acetate, PEG-12 stearate, Sorbitan oleate- Liner: Monosilicone coated paper

When should you not use this medicine?

  You are allergic to diclofenac or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. These ingredients are listed in section 6 of this leaflet.

  You are allergic to another medicine from the NSAID group (e.g. acetylsalicylic acid or ibuprofen).

  
  


• 
  

  You have ever had an asthma attack, hives or swelling and irritation in the nose after taking acetylsalicylic acid or another NSAID.

  
  


• 
  

  You have an active gastric or duodenal ulcer.

  
  


• 
  

  You have damaged skin (e.g. abrasion, cut, burn), infected skin or skin affected by inflammation (exudative dermatitis) or eczema.

  
  


• 
  

  You are in the last three months of pregnancy.

  
  


• 
  

  You are a child or adolescent under 16 years of age.
