Therapeutic Indications:

Symptomatic treatment of seasonal or non-seasonal allergic rhinitis.

Qualitative and quantitative composition:

azelastine. hydrochlorid. 1 mg - methylcellulose. - Sodium edetas - anhydrous. acid. citr. - Sodium hydrogen mono. phosphas 12 (H 2 O) - Sodium chlorid. - Aqua Purif. q.s. ad 1 ml.

Pharmaceutical form:

Nasal spray.

Posology and method of administration:

The usual dosage in adults and children over 6 years is an administration in each nostril, 2 ; times a day.
Clinical experience has shown that this dosage can also be regarded as the maximum dosage.

Contraindications:

Children under 6 years.
Known hypersensitivity to any component.

To date, no special precautions regarding the use of this medicine is recommended.

Pregnancy and lactation:

The
administered during pregnancy (especially during the first trimester) should be avoided. The same reservation applies also during lactation.

Side effects:

Gastro-intestinal system.
After administration, it is possible that a bitter taste occurs ( 1 to 10% of cases), due to an incorrect route (ie too bright posterior inclination of the head), which in rare cases can cause nausea.
Sensitizing.
Occasionally (0.1 to 1%), inflamed nasal mucosa can be stimulated and this may have been mild and transient. Symptoms such as tickling, sneezing and epistaxis may occur in this case. Discontinuation of treatment is required unless contrary opinion of the treating physician.
In isolated cases (

Effects on ability to drive and use machines:

In isolated cases following symptoms may occur when using spray Allergodil: fatigue, exhaustion, dizziness or weakness. These symptoms can also be caused by the disease (allergy). In such cases it hampered when driving and using machines. Alcohol can intensify this effect.

Overdose:

The risk of overdose can be excluded since the administration of a nasal. In an accidental overdose or with an oral intake of the central nervous system disorders may occur based on studies in animals (drowsiness, confusion, tachycardia and hypotension).
The treatment is only symptomatic and require monitoring of circulatory and respiratory functions. There is no known antidote
