1. How should Pollival nasal spray be used?

Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Dosage:

The recommended dose is one spray of Pollival nasal spray in each nostril twice daily (morning and evening). This corresponds to a daily dose of 0.56 mg azelastine hydrochloride.

Type of application:

Pollival nasal spray is intended for nasal use.

   Blow your nose before using Pollival nasal spray.

   Remove the protective cap

   
   


3. 
   

   Operate the pump until the solution comes out (usually 1 to 2 times)

   Keep your head in an upright position, do not tilt it backwards.

   
   


5. 
   

   Insert the spray nozzle into the nostril and pump once, inhaling gently at the same time.

   Repeat in the other nostril

   
   


7. 
   

   Wipe the nose adapter and close it with the protective cap.

   
   

Pollival nasal spray should always be used by the same person.

Duration of application:

Pollival nasal spray should be used until your symptoms subside, but should not be used continuously for more than 6 months.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if your symptoms worsen or if you do not notice a significant improvement after more than 3 days of using Pollival nasal spray.

What Pollival Nasal Spray contains

The active ingredient is azelastine hydrochloride. One spray of 0.14 ml contains 0.14 mg.

Azelastine hydrochloride.

The other ingredients are sodium edetate, hypromellose, sodium monohydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate, citric acid, sodium chloride, and purified water.

Pollival nasal spray must not be used,

if you are allergic to azelastine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine (see section 6, "What Pollival Nasal Spray contains").

Pollival Nasal Spray must not be used in children under 6 years of age. The same instructions for use apply to adolescents as to adults (see section 3, "How to use Pollival Nasal Spray").
