Skin infections
- Topical treatment of limited lesions of impetigo and impetiginization, including scabies and pediculosis (in association with etiological treatment)
- Adjunctive treatment with systemic antibiotics (if needed) for furuncles and Staphylococcal impetigo with multiple lesions
- Furuncles and furunculosis: suggested for the prevention of the spread of Staphylococcus spp. in cases of furuncles; suggested for disinfection of the microbial situation after furunculosis
- In panaritium after surgical intervention, sycosis due to Staphylococcus spp folliculitis
- Impetigo and ecthyma; as an adjunctive treatment to another antibiotic, used in a general manner
Prophylaxis of infections
- In surgery and traumatology: secondary infection of superficial burns and wounds
- Proposed as a treatment for healthy nasal carriers, particularly those in contact with food or at-risk patients. The ointment does not appear to be a first-line treatment for this indication.
Remark
- The cream is particularly indicated for suppurating, macerated lesions, as well as in skin folds.
- The cream is aesthetically more suitable than the ointment for facial application
